Got a fire lit in the Toronado yesterday. After putting in freeze plugs and a new fuel pump (requiring removal of the starter) it wouldn't crank. I figured I had the 2 little wires switched on the starter (and I did). Odd thing was I had the purple wire on the outside which should have been right but it had to go to the inside, weird.
Then the carb was overflowing and it was loading up so now I need to pull the lid off the Q-jet. I want it to run decent and then I will put it back up for sale and try to make a few bucks. The old 425 does sound healthy tho, wish I had a 64-66 Cutlass to put it in. 380 horse and 475 ft/lbs of torque.
