    Swan song Empty Swan song

    Post by willowbilly3 Tue Jul 17, 2012 10:18 pm

The roadster gets closer. I could fire it up in 15 minutes if I wanted to, got the pipes build and installed today. I need a fan belt and a new cap and wires, wire in the coil, put in a battery and gas. Lots to do yet like seats, lights, wiring but it's getting close to the end of the last car I will ever build. Almost sad after 8 years of building it. Oh, I'm sure I will have other projects but I am also sure I will never build another car, this one is it. Cutting it pretty close if the Mayans were right.

Yah but you never have to actually "stop" building it! Seems there's always something to change......

Built a fire in it today. It's LOUD with the zoomie pipes but it ran perfect. The home made dual carbs seemed to work great. It really snaps, has a lot more grown than you'd expect from a 260. A few things to finish up but should drive out mid week.

I hauled all of my receipts down to the courthouse to start the titling process. You really have to stay on top of that shit, they change the rules all the time.

    Woot Woot!!!

I keep thinking I can build one of those Lotus racer cars, but then logic kicks in and informs me that my welding skills are nowhere's near good enough for that.

Also I would need some of that green stuff which seems to be about as hard to find as a good corn crop in Kansas.

Well, hopefully I got them enough info. The girls here are good but the state keeps changing the rules so what you thought would work before, doesn't now.
