Guy my dad works with is cleaning out his 60x200 quanset building. Anyways he has a '59 Ford cabover semi with trailer. All I know is it is a diesel and that it ran when they parked it inside. I'll see if I can get a pic posted on here.

i really like the 55 shown on the wiki page
the helicopter spray guy i worked for had a 60's something 600 coe with flat bed/dump outfitted with 300 gal av fuel tank and 2000 gal water tank--tag axle arrangement--sucker could get stuck on dry ground--when those tanks were 1/2 full things could get hairy quick--that's what i cut my truck driving teeth on circa 1974-75--it was a gas engine with 5 speed/2 speed rear end
i can't find much sales info on the net--will keep lookin

It depends on the area. I do know a gal that could give you a pretty accurate number... I'll shoot her email to you if you'd like.I could send her the pics and see what she says if you want. I'd guess in the 3-4grand area. I would assume that's somewhat rare...can't say I've ever seen one. Sure would love to see it outside!!

Did you figure out what engine it has? I never saw any of those diesel, all gassers around here. It has the cool little sleeper. Just don't leave your Stanley thermos in there when you jack the cab over. They've been known to go right through the windshield.

Nice looking truck.
Id take the cab off and put something else on it and drive it like I stole it.
Hell if you decide to junk it, hit me up will ya?

Hey guys that's an H model not a C. The H series trucks were Ford's first high mount cabovers. They used the C series cab with skirting to account for the extra height of the diesel. According to the info I have they were offered with Super Duty V8's and Cummins NH engines. H means single rear axle, HT means tandem rear axles. I got to check into the year though. My info says they were built from 61 thru 66. They were for sure replaced by the W series cabovers in the mid 60's. I've never driven an H model but I have seen a couple though not for a good many years.
WB, take a little closer look the next time you spot a C series. Ford built quite a few of them with 3208 Cats. There are still a few of them around here running as fire trucks. Roadway Express had a bunch of them that they used as city tractors too.

Good info I didn't know but upon a closer look I can see a lot of difference from a C and yes now that you mention it, I do remember seeing them with the little Cat.
