Ordered me a couple of these today and 200 rounds of ammo. From everything I've read, most of them look unfired.

The milsurp with corrosive primers is $4.34 per box of 14, plus shipping. I bought a box (50) of PPC at Cabella's today for $24.

Looking at getting one of those myself.

Found a feller over here that is willing to do it.

Now I just gotta get the cash together.

BTW what would they be equivalent to, a 38,45?

About a 32 I think. I've read you can shooyr 32 S&W longs and then I also read you can get a cylinder to convert to 32. But the really cool thing is the Unique design. The bullets are seated down in the brass so the brass is beyond the bullet. That part actually sticks out of the cylinder a little. Then when you cock it, the cylinder moves forward to seal the rind to the barrel. Said to be the only revolver you can successfully suppress. PPC ammo at Cabella's is about $25 for 50. Milsurp corrosive is $4.34 per 14 plus shipping.

interesting design info--takes the lead spitting factor out of the mix--very cool--i know it's nice to have the big cal knockdown factor, but that 7.62 cal will get the job done--a 22 headshot does it right and a 22 belly shot is gonna bounce around inside ya and make chopped suey of the innards--i know, cuz a roomie in CO died from a single 22 belly shot--hardly bled a drop on the outside--another friend who was one of the attending medics said the bullet lodged up under his armpit--when they cut him in the er, it painted the walls red

I got to watch for those at the gun shows. They look good to me too. Got another show coming up this weekend.

BTW, JB, no decent Swiss rifles so far. The only Swiss made rifle I found looked as if it had been used as a pry bar in a scrap yard. I didn't bother getting the info from it.

I've been teaching my new lady friend to shoot a handgun. She wants to get a concealed carry permit so we've been looking into pocket pistols. Lots out there in a big range of prices. We both really like this one.

Found a show special for $330 out the door so it followed me home last week.

Don't know much on concealed carry guns except there are a butload to choose from. Bud's Gunshop sells more guns online than anyone and his top 20 for last year only had one rifle and it was at the top of the list, the Mosin Nagant russian army rifle. The Nagant pistol 4th and at least 7 Rugers

Here's another Swede I just picked up. I got it mostly for the stock to put on a real nice 7x57 small ring Chileno actioned barrel I have. I'll keep an eye out for another barrel for this action and maybe build it someday. The bolt is already turned down so that saves $65 and it is drilled for a scope. I'd like to find something like a 257 Roberts or 6mm Remington barrel for it.

Weird sidenote, my FFL transfers never go through. They just don't respond, then I wait like 3 business days and they can give me the gun. It's been that way for years.

Here's another gun I have a bid in on. Long story, I bought one last year from a gunshop and then ordered 100 rounds of ammo in the clips online. You can't shoot the gun without the clips. Anyway, gun turned out to be an early 8x50R and not 8x56R they had sold it as so I returned it. You can actually get these for $99 online all day long but take a chance on condition. This is a real nice one.

Those are both nice looking guns. Idea I've got to learn more about some of the less common stuff. I'm sure I'm missing out on nice long guns.

I wonder what the deal is with your FFL transfers ? Usually the only time they won't go thru is if somebody has something pending. I did see a guy get grabbed for outstanding warrants when he tried to buy a handgun. I learned afterwards that when the dealer called it in he was told to bullshit the guy to keep him there until the law showed up. Took the PA state police about 10 minutes to get there and about 10 seconds to have him cuffed, shackled and stuffed into a car. Never did learn what they wanted him for.

so do you have an ffl?

The way it looks for me is that I would have to have the fellow with the ffl buy it for me and then sell it to me.

    Is that right?

No. you buy it but you have to have it shipped to an ffl and receive it there, and do the paperwork just like when you buy one. Most gun shops charge around $25 for the transfer but some charge as much as $50.

They never deny my transfers, they just don't respond to them. I'm not sure what the red flag is, maybe an initial for a first name, who knows. Anyway, if they don't actually deny the transfer, they can go ahead and give you the gun after 3 business days.

Spart--u can apply for your FFL---no felonies and very minor misdemeanors -- traffic and such--will usually go thru with no undue hitches
