I won 2 guns at the sportsman's banquet tonight. A savage model 25 223 rifle and some kind of 9mm handgun, didn't see it.

Re: winner
Not sure why I picked the 223, ammo is almost impossible to find and stupid expensive with half the new guns sold being the AR 15 platform. I could have picked a Savage Model 116 Alaskan Hunter in a 338 winnie but it was a 20" heavy barrel, like a guide gun and I just didn't wee what the hell I would ever use it for.
I might see if I can trade the 223 for a 204.

Yah, no kidding....for once, my 220 Swift is cheaper and easier to get ammo for! It's nuts around here this year... even .22 ammo is gone nuts!

The Walmarts here are always out of ammo but I stopped in at B&S guns in Garland Tx yesterday and they had full shelves of everything. Higher n hell but they had it and every gun you can think of as well. AR's started at 1K and AK's started at $695

Re: winner
When they come for my guns I figure it won't take em too long to get me so I have enough ammo to give em a good come to Jesus thought or two. But who knows, a blind hog finds a acorn now and then.
