Might be a little overpriced but I'll melt the lead out of it before I take much less. Maybe even keep the mast for a "project" if I decide to scrap it. Shame though, it's a nice old forklift.

the mast will adapt fairly easily to a 3 pt hitch on a good tractor--i know of 2 people that have done it--it makes for a very handy tool around the farm--try to buy a mast for 1500.00--or any lifting mechanism

    good score!!

Damn!! Wish you were closer...I'd be all over that!! Those are getting really hard to find and are handier than a shirt pocket!! Hmm...wonder if it'll fit in the horse trailer.....scratch

At 11,500# it would probably fall through the floor John. But for you, I'd cut a deal AND throw in a sheet of diamond plate for the bottom of a trailer.

    re: lead filled counterweight??

that's a new one on me

seen a lot of add-on weights formed of lead, but never ran into a forklift that the factory one wasn't all cast iron

i am sure not saying it isn't

as far as hauling that sucker in your horse trailer--3 or 4 sheets of plywood with that steel plate would be good--also--remove the counter weight and load it separately

those old cat lifts are bad to the bone--u can turn the pump up, add weight and pick 10k easy--been there---we always left the cw's fairly loose so we could snatch some extra cw if we needed it on the job-- the brakes are always the first thing to go--nine out of 10 forklifts are either e-brake or drop the load to stop- affraid

looks like a lead filled cw is a specialty add on--for compactness

what type of facility was the plant??

the old rule of thumb was a dollar per pound for anything running way back when--your asking price is below reasonable

It came from Haliburton's bentonite plant in Colony. The same one where I used to work under a contractor.
