Well last fall I accidentally left the outdoor hydrant on and the damned thing froze up on me.

Left it alone all winter stuck in the on position.

Well yesterday she finally let loose which was great, cept it split the side of the pipe coming out of the ground.

Any easy fix of say just replacing the pipe, or do I have to replace the whole F*ing thing?

Probably have to replace the whole thing. Or maybe just weld the split shut.

I'd bet the whole thing too.... I have one that came apart (apparently) down below... POS!! So I get to dig it up and replace it. Only bad thing is that this one's in the barn. Frost free hydrants aren't anything to try to save money on...  Mad

    Digging in out now.

Bad thing is Im fighting roots from 2 different trees, and I found an electrical line beside the hydrant and there isnt an outlet anywhere in the area,

    Talk about fun
