I am listing a bunch of my crap for sale so I can thin out my non MM stuff and to finish off engine work on the cobra (and buy some goodies for it if money allows). Anyways I feel like I have asked about this engine before but I will ask again.

Anyone have a clue what this is out of and more important what it is worth? It is a six cylinder and it looks to be out of a truck but I am unsure. It has 8/26 cast into the block and an early 1927 date on the head. It is complete including a brass carb that says studebaker on it.

It was their big car probably since it was a six. Maybe a president. It might be worth a lot to the right person but I'd say off hand it would bring maybe $100 on a local auction.

Try Hemmings motor news or maybe run a search for a Stude club. Be a shame to scrap it since there is prolly someone who would love to have it.
