Ebay selling fees Empty Ebay selling fees

    Post by 71ford100 Wed Jun 22, 2011 3:18 pm

It looks to me that ebay is trying to shoot themselves in the foot.....anyways I have been debating listing a few vehicles and I am totally lost on what they think they are going to charge me....the way it reads to me is if it doesn't sell they don't charge anything but if you see a vehicle for less than a couple thousand they get a percentage...am I reading this right?

I found a sellers fee chart but it it has multiple charts for the same thing and it looks like it costs more starting July 6th?

I'm not sure on that but they keep doing things to get people to list more, like free listings ect. But they are also going to start charging final value fees on the shipping charges, trying to get more people to offer free shipping I guess. Also a lot of sellers were jcking extra $$ into the shipping and charging a lower price, money ebay wasn't getting their share of. They have just got too greedy, with paypal it can cost 15-18% or more now.

I was going to say no paypal, cash, good check with a ten day cashing period, or money order...haven't read if ebay will still allow that.

I think you have to take paypal now.
I hardly sell anything on ebay anymore. I have been using craigs list and seem to do pretty well. I think ebay sent me a thing that I had sold 58% of the items listed. I think it is closer to 75-80% for me with C-list.
