I've got a deal to split 50-50. Lots of scrap iron. Here's some of the stuff that's there, plus an ass load of just iron. It's 130 miles from here and will be about 65 miles to the nearest scrap yard.

The gas pump is $1000 and there is another one. Also there is 2 pop coolers. You can see the second one in the back ground of the one Model A. The open front one is RC cola and I think Nehi on the end. The other one is Squirt and has the Kelvinator badge and the opener still on it.

I'm not for sure yet the bump goes. It is a beat to hell hell old ranch truck. And even if I do get it, to be honest, I probably won't have time to nickel and dime parts from it. I'm going to be doing this 130 miles from home and hustling to get in there and get a load out every day. I will keep the model As. the pop coolers and 50s Ford cab and make a load to come home from that stuff.

    I see.

I guess if its going to go and you can look at the cab etc, better let me know.

If the cab etc is good. Ill just take it apart out there, and bring it home.

Pretty rough, as usual when all the wood goes away. I didn't poke around too much because of the snake warning. I don't see it being worth a lot more than scrap price. I'm sure it would go across the scales for 3 bills so maybe $400...?? There is also a complete chassis from a 34 IH. They sold the cab and sheet metal already. Not sure if it has any value beyond tonnage either.

Might save the hood and radiator off of it. All these crawlers sell on the 14th of next month so I am trying to not buy anything between now and then.

I will be hauling in a R-110 soon that is really rough as well as most of my rolled 72 250 4x4 a Case drill, a Dearborn rake, and some others. Hate to send stuff to the scrappers but this nickle and dime crap is getting old.

Yeah, for sure I'll save the grill and rad. I line them up alongside the house. Hood too, still has the emblems on it.
Auction sunday a pretty straight 67 Ranger highboy went for scrap, $325 I think and also a pretty decent 64 F-100 4x4 for $275. I just don't have time to mess with that stuff or a place to keep it. I did buy an old Dodge pickup trailer for 10 bux. It had a couple cool artillery wheels and when I go to cleaning it out to mash down for scrap I realized it had a mid 30s Ford axle, wishbone and Rocky Mountain (windowed) brake drums. Probably $150 worth of parts. Plus the wheels might be $50-$100. Also a buzz saw for $12.50, kept the blade for knives and the rest is on the load for tomorrow.

I just took a load from here a couple days ago, prices up. I got $530 for about 3 tons, 180 a ton.. 2 old chevy radiators and 3 heater cores netted me $114. I've got one more load around here, maybe take it monday or tuesday. I'mm having fits with my trailer brakes, can't get them to do shit and seem to have power right to them. Gotta get that sorted out. Another friggen project that I don't need.

Did you take the tanks off the rads?

I have a huge old generator that I have started to take apart but I wonder if they would buy it whole at a price higher than iron and lower than copper.

I take off everything that is magnetic.
Some scrap yards have a special price for electric motors and such because they have a lit of copper, not sure what that is.

i have heard some places are taking tanks and all at the good price--may be only that spot

also have seen some of that special elec. motor price

i really wonder just where all this market is---i think they want to gather any weapon making materials--oh well it'll all come down to knives, machetes and cudgels in the end--up close and personal--wet work--funny--i can't put a dog down, but my inner self doesn't have that problem with "bad guys"--not that i am chompin' at the bit--but--u know..............

seems like the crooks in the metro areas are runnin' amuck with stealin' metals--even got warnings about wearing jewelry and watches
