Ruger 10-22 rifle

It seems that these are a very nice .22 rifle.

Anyone own one and thoughts about it?

Also are there many used or are most of em out there for sale new ones?

I've owned 2 many years ago and loved them. Good little plinkers, although today I prefer something not a semi auto since it does take a little juice away from the ballistics to cycle the bolt.
I made 100 yard shots on prairie dogs on a still day with mine. There should be lots of used ones since they made a gazillion of them but it seems pawn shop prices on used are dam close to new. Also there is tons of cool tactical accessories for them. I see just since the gun bill failed that Ruger is now selling a 30 round clip, lazer sight and some other neat stuff the used to be aftermarket. Bad part is that 22 ammo is almost impossible to find and 10 bucks a box if you do find it.

Dad's got one that he's banged around in his pickup for the last 20 years...great little gopher gun.......but like JB says, you can't find .22 ammo anymore....what a rip!

who, would have ever dreamed that a 22 round would be so precious????? causes me to think about the fellow that told me about gangster life--he said anyone could get a gun, but ammo was another story--this was the early 90's in the north east area(nyc)---i wonder if canada is having the same story these days???
