4 tons of gravel.....

And all I have done is the railroad tie foundation is leveled.

So far its taken 4 trips with my father in laws little 1/2 ton trailer.

Of those trips I was SERIOUSLY overloaded for that poor trailer. Had just over a ton once and had 1 1/4 ton the second time.

Looks like Ill need at least another 2 tons to fill the center plus however much pea rock Ill need to cover the gravel mounds on the outside so the chickens dont take it all out.

only two things Im complaining about is the friggen humidity and damned skeeters. Doesnt help any that I ran out of OFF.

Too dam hot here for that kind of ni**er work. I'm lazy, I just call a guy with a dumptruck and buy a load of gravel when I need it.

I asked about having some gravel delivered and the company that I got it from would have charged me 150 min delivery on top of the amount of gravel.

Sadly I dont know of anyone who has a dump truck who I could ask.

I can get 14 tons of flex base delivered here for $135. I got a load of 3/4 minus, cost 165 because it has to come from Spearfish.

They must not screw over people as bad on the west side of the state.

We're on the river, lots of gravel here, probably makes it cheaper. When I lived in Alaska I got 14 yard loads of pit run for $40 and if I bought 10 or so they would send a little dozer along and spread it out.

the gravel is cheap enough here at 8 bux a ton, its just the delivery was unbelievable.
