after some surfing and reading--i got a little fit to pitch

it seems that the bulk of sites are very opinionated it what classifies as what----all in opposition to the real idea behind the hot rod movement

way back when it was a buncha broke kids and guys home from the wars that wanted to go fast with what little cash they had

scrounge around and build what they could with what they had

so now it's goota be this or can't have that--so on and on

i say fuck ALL the rules--put whatever engine in whatever vehicle--paint it or don't

    and

    mad max forever

    ok--i'm thru

Mine is just a hotrod, kinda like John Force's flopper. Well the car isn't like his but he calls it his hotrod.

It's in everything, JD..... hotrods, Harleys, planes, horses...... it's all about the bucks you can spend and there's getting to be damned few left who can do any of it for themselves.......

i was/am not talking about or to any of us---just jawin'

i really get a kick out of the european sites--they are so much more open to the "whatever" concept

in 1977, i ended up in "Far"mington,nm--met an old sundowner--the motor and tranny were baling wired on the scoot--what a cool old dude

the really cool thing is that whomever of us can make the next 2 yrs--sane and alive---none of this will have ever mattered--not that it really does now automotive genre high & mightys Icon_biggrin---------edit for non-compliant spelling
