Don't go to Fordsix much anymore but thought I'd get some opinions on using a 2GC Rochester. As usual Harte3 has to be a know it all asshole and pick apart what I say and disagree with anything I say.
I sent one of the mods a pm venting a little, we'll see what kind of response I get.

Well, just thinking. The 390 Holley and offy C just don't have the low end grunt of a stock set up and the mileage isn't very good. If I can score a stock intake and make a 2GC fit, it might get me closer to where I want to be. I know the 268 cam needs to go too.

i would try the 2 bbl on the 4 bbl intake first--then think about changing the cam---mainly because of the more equal air flow with the 4 bbl intake

ps---too bad there aren't more of those old holley ?? or was it edelbrock intakes around

Wonder how the engine would like it if a person were to make a dual intake manifold?

I was thinking about grouping the front 3 and then the rear 3 and putting a 1 bbl on each or even a 1bbl throttle body.

That way the 1 and 6 cyl arent suffering from fuel starvation.

I had one of those Edelbrock SP2P intakes, should have kept it but needed money last winter. They are rare, even more rare is the Holley. The Edelbrock is just a single barrel. I also had a Clifford dual carb intake with 2 barrel holleys, sold that one too.
