bloody chunks & out of body

i am on the fourth day of a kidney stone nightmare---i ain't going into all the gross details, but i will say that when the pain becomes severe enough, it is quite easy to leave the body for a time

back from the er----after all the stones and stuff, one of my nads got infected and swollen---antibiotics and pain meds---get to keep my nut

Leave it to you two to make a thread about something as painful as that, a laughing matter!! Hang in there JD...damn man, I feel sorry for ya! Never been through that personally, but saw one of the toughest guys I've ever known, put right down on the floor trying to pass one of those suckers..... NOT FUN!

Yeah, I was in the ER getting my pinky finger sewed back on and there was a guy in there passing a stone. He was screaming and begging for drugs. I asked the doc if there wasn't something they could do for the chap. He said "nah, just have to ride it out". I wouldn't have changed places with him right then for nuthin.

the best medicine is leaving the earthly shackles for a spell--at certain pain levels it's easy--no drugs needed--for me i just close my eyes and concentrate on a peaceful thought
