    Old tractors Empty Old tractors

    Post by willowbilly3 Sat Aug 21, 2010 10:38 pm

Threshing B time again. This year I sat up in the flea market area. Been setting there 2 days. I didn't get to walk around much but today was the parade and it went right by us, for over an hour. Probably 100 tractors and a few cars.
I didn't have my camera, memorable tractors were the steamers of course, Rumley oil pulls and one Avery that is like a freaking mountain, it blocks out the sun. Then there was this really weird little tractor, couldn't see a name but it was basically just 2 wheels, on stell real far spaced. It had a cultivator for a back end and just one wheel under that. It had a steering wheel but I couldn't see what made it turn, cute chick driving it.
I did real good at the flea market, sold the Hart-Parr washing machine for 3 bills plus another 4-5 bills worth.. Hot sumbich out there, thank God for easy-up

I know the very first allis tractors that were made, came the way you describe that two wheel setup.

Funny thing is they were painted green at that time as well.

Yeah, it was some kind of dark greenish gray looking color.

It did but it was wider and I don't think it said anything on the radiator.

The three most popular with the drive wheels up front like the AC 9-18 were the Moline, AC, and an Indiana. Molines were red and yellow, AC was a dark green, and indiana's were gray.
