i was searching around to see if there was a homemade recipe for brake cleaner---the msds will scare ya to death

I learned that in a fire science class back when I was still an active volunteer. Brake cleaner is bad shit. The carbon tetrachloride is the killer ingredient. Most of us here are old enough to remember seeing carbon tet extinguishers. They were outlawed around 1970. Great for small fires but they prolly killed more folks than they saved.

And great for cleaning the friction discs on a Cat 25A power unit too.

I bet it is. Carbon tet is good stuff but lethal in the hands of the uneducated.
