if i was living down there i would hit him up--i am sure it would lead to a good network contact--way back when i got in with some firefighters & lawyers--man--i had all kinds of sidework & discounts on services i needed

It just seems a little odd that any successful lawyer would be driving an old beater like that and trying to huck some gomer to trade work on it for a mouthpiece.
