thanks JD, thats a 68' grille it was white originally i paid 50.00 for it back in 2004. we were in our way back from mexico driving on I35 by austin, around 11 pm started raining so bad that we had to pull over and spend the nite on the side of the road. the next morning as we were having breakfast, across the street from the restaurant i spotted a bumpside in a junk yard, 30 minutes later and 100 dollars liter i had the grille and a tailgate tied to my luggage carrier. that's what i call a pleasure trip Smile Smile . anyhoo earlier this year i sent the grille and the bumper & guards to have'm chromed to a shop in mex. they do ok job i guess. i paid around 500 dollars for the whole lot (cheap considering that my buddy in chicago wanted 450.00 just to plate the bumper) i'll see how long it lasts nice, supposedly they used the good stuff for it, triple layer or something . my buddy with the shop in chicago says that illinois chrome will never be as good as other places' because some chemical used in the process is not allowed to use by the state so he is got to use something else instead. i dont know just hearsay.
anyways this here grille is just temp. i have the 67's originally from the truck and is in pristine condition. so i'll take with me next time i travel south and have them work on that one

by the way the bumper is a 79's and i paid 25.00 for it Wink

    just labeled the boxes--3 variety selection--japs--unknown & pequins(sp)

edit---i was on a hurry up mission--feed the neighbors pets & cover the plants before dark:thirty (freeze warning tonight)

anyway the unknowns look like giant jalapenos--you will see the difference- they just came on good and i have yet to give them a taste test--still getting over the last jalapeno i ate--lol

Wara, I like the wooden piggy. Very Happy

There is a Peterbilt at the scrap yard with one of these on it. Known by the drivers as the " pig truck ".
