Scrap prices

Hauled some stuff in today:

.10 per pound for unpreped iron
.22 per pound for batteries

There was a line of people waiting several hundred yards long, most were cars and SUV's just in the iron line. Wasn't too much good stuff in the pile except a couple of tractors set off to the side.

whole cars are paying $12.50 per hundred around here. Tin (fenders, appliances, steel shelving, ect. ) is paying $10.00 per hundred.

No it ain't. Around here clean engine cast was fetching $12.70 per hundred as of Friday.

I took a load of body shop parts over last week and got $145. Most of this stuff goes to Denver so I suppose the prices are better down that distraction.
