Getting rid of skunk smell

Anyone tried this?
Just read that you can wash your clothes in coffee grounds and it gets rid
of skunk smell. Then pour a pound in the tub and wash your dog, kid, you or what ever its on.
I used tomato juice years ago. It didn't work to well, but it was better than nothing.
I just tied my dog up a couple hundred yards down wind of the house for a week or so in the woods.

So how much do I use on a say 80# dog and do I use the "Heavy wash cycle" Or "Gentle"
I know it has to be set on super load but do I spin him or not?

Kids and dogs you can just abandon in the woods but I hate loosing good clothes.

i recommend the triple size front loaders at the washateria


then air dry in back of pickup for several miles at highway speeds
