I was backing a load of firewood up onto the lawn and got a little stuck, just needed to get the pickup to move off the slcik spot so I threw one of my tirechains under the tire and drove off. Then I got the tractor the next day and pushed the snow out to make more room. I must have plowed my chain into a pile somewhere. Now I have to build another one today. We got rain night before last so everything is glare ice and now more snow on top of that. My one wheel wonder pickup is helpless without chains.

Re: I'm a dumass
It was a bad weekend for stupidity. I changed the oil in the cobra, fired it up and immediately dumped the oil all over the ground. Apparently the o-ring off the old filter was still on so the new filter didn't seal. First and last time I make that mistake.

Yup, you only do that once. I always wipe off the oil filter housing with a rag, to clean it odd and also to make sure there isn't an old gasket on there.71ford100 wrote:It was a bad weekend for stupidity. Re: I'm a dumass
I remember once hauling logs, I got to the hiway and tightened up the load and pulled chains off. It was late and I was tired. I pulled off the chains and the boss drove up and talked to me about the next day.... long story short, I only hung one chain back on the rack. The next morning, I was one chain shy when I went to the other job.... luckily, one of the other guys found my chain laying exactly where I had left it the night before, and got it to me that day... all it cost me was a red face....
