i have some small bottles--7 in dia x 25 high---acy--35.00--i coulda swore i heard him wrong

    7 in diam x 32 high--oxy--18.00

it's been 3 yrs since i had them filled--pretty frugal with the stuff and now i am gonna get real stingy

i have in reserve an 8 in dia x 32 high acy bottle plumb full--gold baby gold

those battery and cord powered saws will be doing the bulk of the work from now on

i guess metal is up--i saw some loads of rusted out burning barrels and wire fence go by--can't even imagine that it'll pay for the gasoline let alone the time---who knows??

i just get dumber every day--pretty soon i'll be smart enuff to run for office

Now that i think about it we used to use propane at the farm growing up. Might be time to switch back.
Didn't cut as good but it was good enough

Yah...they really rape ya on gas anymore. A couiple of the guys I know are using propane... they say it just takes a bit longer to heat up to cutting temp, but sure is alot cheaper. I dunno.... I tried theirs and it seemed to work ok. Plasma is getting more and more economical!

You just use a regular propane cylinder. You have to have the regulator and special cutting tips.
I only fill mine once or twice a year, price is about the same in these parts.

I don't have propane on mine. I have used it though. If I was cutting a lot I would use propane. It takes a little getting used to, slower to get started on the cut and not quite as consistent.

We use propane at the scrap yard. Biggest difference I've noticed is propane doesn't provide as clean of a cut as acteylene. If you use a big enough tip the heating time difference really isn't noticable. The downside is it's a little too much for fine cutting like cutting a pipe to get it out of a muffler spout or splitting the inner race of a bearing that spun on a shaft. At the dealer we use acteylene. I also use it at home.
