The shanty has been due for some serious renovating for quite some time so I figured it was time to jump in. The upstairs bath has been patched up and made over more times than some burned out Hollywood celebrity.  Laughing Since water generally flows downhill the bath kinda trashed the ceiling of the living room which is directly below. The connecting hallway and stairwell are pretty sad too so all of them are going down to framing lumber.

    What a fookin mess.  Laughing

Goal this year is to get them gutted, framing carpentry done, wiring roughed in, plumbing roughed in and insulated by the time snow flies again.

    Yipee ki yay.

The plaster all gotta go. What isn't embalmed from upteen coats of paint is cracked, loose, wall papered into mummification or covered with masonite paneling. What is good is also in the way of replacing a couple of weak floor joists. The demo part is the worst.  Laughing

I did manage to get the remains of the tub broken up just now. Next time I decide to get medieval with a cast iron bath tub I gotta remember to do it first thing in the morning not after a 12 hour work day.
