As I was going home last night (Wed) I heard a couple of thunks under the car and thought it was just mud or a dead whatever I had hit in the dark.
Started to apply the brakes to turn off the highway to the side road for home and heard a rubbing sound followed by the car being pulled off to the right.
Was able to get her straightened out and limped home with a whole lot of rubbing noise and pulling to the right.
Got it on the cement pad of our drive way and took a flash light to it.
Found out that the nut that holds the strut arm to the lower control arm unscrewed and allowed the tire to hit the back of the wheel well.
Of course no one around has any parts for it.
Did somehow manage to have my local ford dealer find what I needed from some other dealers which is a miracle since these parts are discontinued by ford.
Soooooo they will be here on Tuesday so I can put my car back together and then get a new riders side tire.
Forgot to mention that it will cost 60 bux plus freight to get it here.
It just fucking pours round here.
