i haven't really noticed this except for where i spent some of my formative years--nw ks--anyway, seems like everyone always wore a pair of pliers in a leather belt sheath--for me from about 7th grade on, it was the one thing not to leave the house without

so it got me to thinkin'---look out lol!

if you could only have one tool, what would it be---leatherman shit don't count--no multi tools allowed--just one tool

i have an old set of pliers that measures 5 3/8 in long--fit's in any pocket--they are my favs--no brand-have no idea who, what or where, but have had them a long time

    for me it's pliers

I'd probably go for a good pair of vise-grips. The real ones, not a cheap knock off.

A good pair of pliars wins for me as well....they can be a wrench, hammer, screwdriver, defense mechanism without a firing pin, and a good thing to throw through the air when you need anger relief.
