Over 200 percent here in the snowies....they just got the scenic route busted open between Laramie and Saratoga. The Laramie river is at flood stage....a whopping 5.3 feet!

The Missouri here is a big deal right now. They went into spring with the big Oahe Reservoir too full and now they are having to turn loose an assload of water. Towns right below the dam, Pierre our state capitol and Ft; Pierre are both sandbagging to get ahead of it. The huge cottonwoods that used to be on the shore are just barely sticking out and 1/2 mile in from the outskirts of the river now.

i see levees failed around hamburg yesterday--the last control dam was finished in '57--it's never seen this big of a test--the predictions are for 2 months of high water

big mo doesn't always get the respect she deserves--just about the time the water goes down in the mississippi, here comes another boatload of water---where's my waterwings :?:

Too bad we don't add some more resivoirs to send the extra water to the desert or dry areas....wait that would create jobs what am I thinking!

When my dad worked for the Ottawa Co-op in Ottawa Kansas I got to go into the old grain mill that is along the Marais des Cygnes river that flooded in '51 You could still see the old flood marks at the base of the first floor ceiling....CRAZY!
