Got this mower for 50 bux.

Needs the fuel line changed, repair the connection to the fuel tank, its a rubber grommet thats gone bad.

Might need to put a new battery in it.

But for 50 bux and its the proper shade of orange. santa

Holy cow...haven't seen anything AC for a long time! I remember the local dealer..I used to love to go there and sit on the mowers...they were about "my size"!

Very cool. I think those were made by Simplex or something like that. MTF forums is a great place to find out stuff on that.

Yeah they are a simplicity mower.

I take it mtf owns them now?

Also it needs a new fuel tank grommet, strainer and fuel line.

Then i can see about firing it up

MTF is My Tractor Forums. It's a good place to poke around. http://www.mytractorforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=30

All riding lawn mowers (except John Deere) are now made by MTD or AYP

I sold my best mower yesterday at auction. It was a 2007 Husqvarna I had bought seized up and put a different engine in. Now I need to fix up something else. I have a Murray bagger with automatic tranny that needs an engine but next up is probably the old Massey, I think it just needs a belt and an ignition switch. I also have a 149 Cub Cadet with a dozer blade on it right now, probably should get the deck on it and get it for sale. It's a 14 horse Kohler, hydro and has hydraulic lift. I also have a Ford with the same 14 horse hydro. It has high low range, tiller, snowblower, hydraulic lift.

Id love to put a tiller on the back of this mower, but I dont think it will take one. Seems like if it says LT on the name its made to be a lawn mower vs a lawn tractor.

It would be way cool if I could put a tiller and maybe a small blade on the front of it, but that is for a future time.
Gotta get it started and running first.

Lt is lawn tractor, GT is garden tractor. Usually the easiest way to tell is how the back wheels go on. Most garden tractors they bolt on like a car and most lawn mowers they just have the keyed or splined center.
A lot of attachments would be cool but I kinda like a separate tractor for each thing, then I'm never switching around. I have a Sears 16-6 with 16 horse onan twin with my tiller. I bought it for $50 several years ago and it's been a hoss. I mow with whatever I have around and the cub has just had the dozer blade but I also use it to drag shit around. I's like to have one good GT with a 2 stage snowblower but one hasn't came by in my price range. The most I've paid for any of them was $450 for the Cub Cadet and it's going to get sold, hopefully soon.

the biggest pita there is on the farm is "hooking up" different implements--a tractor for each is the way to go for sure--provided the pockets are deep enuff Very Happy
