When yer haulin big stuff or wheelin a draggin waggin a 25' tape is a real handy thing to keep next to yer chair.

Yea mines a 25 footer but in some cases a 10'-15' will suffice, Just like woodworking measure twice, cut once.

I was working for a guy whose driver forgot to put the boom down on a big JD excavator and wiped out an overpass. I came along about 15 minutes behind him, helluva mess, over a million in damage to the bridge, probably only 3 grand to the excavator though.
This week at the plant they forgot to set the brakes on 3 loaded box cars and they coasted into a couple others, the switch engine was in between and it totaled it. Last fall some cars got away at the plant next door and wiped out a big engine that was setting in the switch.
