Re: Case 220 pics
Paid $40 plus an extra $10 for the disc. I got on a tractor forum and posted about it. I guess that extra control valve on the side is rare and highly sought after by the Case collectors, p[lus having the hydralic lift it is supposed to be a righteous little garden tractor. We'll see, I don't think 10 horse is enough.

Re: Case 220 pics
It is a starter/generator. It spins the engine to start it and then makes juice after it starts. I was just out messing with it and had it running on carb-clean. The fuel system needs cleaned up, as usual. The engine sounds good though.
Spart, we have a big tractor junkyard here but he is high priced on everything. Not many Allis in this area but I do see that Char-Lynn steering on Farmalls and John Deeres occasionally. I'll keep an eye out for one.

Re: Case 220 pics
yards round here dont even carry allis any more.
Found one setup for an allis but they wanted 1000 bux for it and Im not sure what kind of shape it was in to start with.

Re: Case 220 pics
remember the old song--"give me forty acres" ??
it was a early 60's truck driver song--the main lyrics were "gimme 40 acres and i'll turn this truck around"
reminds me of the old jd "d" we had--the turning radius left much to be desired in close quarters--it was definitely a "wheatland" tractor
i had the misfortune of being the chosen one to road the thing back and forth -- about 20 mi one way-- u could get off and pee--then catch the turtle without any worries of her getting away from u

Re: Case 220 pics
My dad has had a D since he was 16 its an awesome tractor! Some of the big MM's are terrible to turn even with power steeing, maybe it had something to do with engines that were 5 feet long or longer lol.
