JD I don't know what it's like where yinz live but around here the white tails are a fukkin nuisance. Driving after dark is pretty much a crap shoot. Roll 7's and you make it with all sheet metal intact. Roll snake eyes and you get a furry hood ornament. Last week I damn near got rear ended as I waited for 9 of the silly bastards to decide that, no I wasn't a deer with really big eyes and yes it's time to get the fuck off of the road.

they aren't that bad here, but certain areas are dangerous--i was in genesee, ny on business long ago--went out to a state park south of town--there were several herds of well over a hundred each--it was amazing--northeast MO is also covered up with wild goats(deer)
