How do Texas beavers stack up to Northern ones?
This one is over 50# The scale bottomed out at 50
My son and his buddy got 3 just like this one
They were damming up a creek that supplied a ranchers stock tank and had to go

    dang it--that's a honker there

    here's some beaver info

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaver

my grandpa trapped enough beaver off the fox river in ne mo to make my grams a full length coat and matching hat--this was in the late 60's--i think it took him 2 seasons to get enough pelts--it was a beautiful coat--he told me that beavers were the only animal that really scared him--of course this from a man that kept an eastern diamondback in a wire cage next to the gate of the yard--said it sure cut down on unwanted visitors and traveling sales types
