interesting building specs

the past few months & super storms have caused me to think about safe rooms

i have kicked around several ideas, various components, looked at several different tested structures


if i was by myself and a dog it would be a plastic tank from tractor supply buried in the earth(500.00 plus excavation)

i did a quick run on the materials--looks like a 5 x 10 x 6 high could be built for 1500.00 or thereabouts

this would be the gyp board and osb with concrete filled voids

the thought had crossed my mind--

Bury it deep and have a piece of spiral culvert down to it with one of those old buried butane tank lids on top. Matter of fact when I die just bury me in it. lol

if i had a backhoe--well wish in one hand......
