    re: fasteners

anyone know what the best bolts or stud and nut combo to fasten the clifford intake and late model 300 6 exhaust manifolds?

and will a stock gasket set work or is a special edition needed?

after much grief and toil i am making the switch--has to be a small crack in the stock intake causing the problem--just located a holley economizer 450 cfm carb for cheap--6320 i think is the model--came stock on the mid 70's vettes and some 302 fords--manual secondaries and the small body i need for the van

    thanks

    be well and be safe

From what Ive seen a regular old intake exhaust gasket works just fine.

Far as I know the stock stuff should work for the bolts etc.

I think I used the whole gasket. But after some ponderin because I don't think the efi exhaust are supposed to use them. Memory is kinda foggy. Also, efi manifolds on older head...there aren't dowels to hold the manifolds, or at least one of them. So you have to do some juggling and guessing while you snug it up. Pretty sure I reused the old bolts and fat washers.
