cool little diesel trucks

a guy i worked for in the rigging business had a couple of big ud's and a little izuzu flatbed

they were comfy to drive and did good on fuel and repairs--not a race car,but had no trouble maintaining freeway speeds, unless really loaded

Always thought it would be cool have that little diesel in a bump.
I'd really like to just set a bump cab and bed on the Isuzu frame.
I'd get great mileage. I hear an empty Isuzu diesel flatbed gets 28mpg at the speed limit
Stick or auto wouldn't matter to me
But then I'm kinda strange that way

i think that a great idea-- i drove that little izuzu--it had a machinery movers bed--with a little printing press on board--dallas to des moines--dropped that--dead headed to louisville--picked up one of those bed/frame mounted loading arm devices and back to big d--about 3 days in the saddle--it was a comfortable ride

The little Isueyous are good trucks. If you ever get a chance to drive a gasoline Isueyou go for it. They have GM Vortec V8's and the sons a bitches will scream. An empty flatbed will broil the duals if you slam it.

I was thinking about putting one of those engines in the bump.

If they get as good of mileage as you say, I could easily afford to drive it all over the place.

Just wonder how much it would cost?
